Porch Pirates in 2025: Why Trading Card Packages Go Missing and What Actually Stops Them You refresh tracking for the tenth time. “Delivered.” You open the door. Nothing. For collectors, that sick feeling hits hard. The truth is, package theft is organized, fast, and if you do nothing predictable. Let’s map out how thieves really operate and the moves that keep your slabs and sealed boxes safe. How packages disappear in the real world 1) The pre-scan window Drivers sometimes scan a package as delivered a few minutes before they hit your stop to speed the route. Thieves know this. They trail vans or scrape tracking feeds and sweep porches right after a scan. That creates a tiny window where your box is “delivered,” but sitting unattended for a few crucial minutes. 2) Misdelivery that looks like theft In apartments or townhomes, a parcel can land at the wrong unit, lobby, or mailroom shelf. You see “delivered,” check your doorstep, and assume a thief. In real...

Pokémon trading card game

Before we talk a bit about Pokémon  card  game, we definitely should write a few words on where all did come from :)
Long time ago a man called Satoshi Tajiri, big fan of bugs (some say, he wanted to become an entomologist) started to create games. His (and his friends) first productions were Pulseman, Yoshi and Mario & Wario. Those games were not a big success, but they were quite popular on the market. After some time, around 1990, still having this "bug geek" thoughts, Satoshi realized, that this might work out and invented Pocket Monsters. Nintendo was his first choice. It took some time to convince Nintendo to his idea, but when he finally did it, he immediately began working on the game together with one of the best game makers those times - Shigeru Miyamoto (if You played Mario and The Legend of Zelda You know what i mean ;)). And there is one more person You need to know... Ken Sugimor - he is responsible for visualization of Satoshis dream...
It took about 6 years to finalize ideas of all those 3 great minds and finally On 27 February 1996, Red and Green version of Pocket Monsters was released in Japan for the Gameboy. (When they were introduced in US, they were already named Pokémon) What was pretty unique, gamers could trade Pokémon between themselves by using cables to connect Gameboys. Fantastic idea, wasn`t it? :)
And now lets get to the point... trading cards.
Not too long after the huge success of Pokémon games, on 20th of October 1996 first set of Pokémon cards was released (so called 1srt edition). As we know, this set of 102 cards with Pokémon drawn by Ken Sugimori, Mitsuhiro Arita and Keiji Kinebuchi started not only to bring joy and fun for kids... it started the tremendous collecting business running and spinning faster and faster. Who could predict, that cards played by kids are now worth millions :) Playing for fun? Well, You can, but You should know, that there is also Pokémon World Championship!
Loads of movies, games, cards... and one off the latest inventions... Pokemon Go - we dont need to introduce it actually :)
So, if You were born in the `80s, just check the attic, basement, maybe You still have some cards in a good shape? Maybe You are a millionaire and just don’t know it yet??
Keep an eye on us. Soon we will present a brief description of all card series :)
